Palestine Solidarity March

London, in addition to being the capital, carries the title of the largest and most populous city in the UK, and we set up our campaign booth right in the heart of this city. On the same day, a large crowd was gathering for an anti-Zionist march. The appearance of our booth was combined with photos and storytelling about the genocide in Palestine. The combination of this massive march and the awakening to the suffering of the people of Gaza, alongside our campaign activities, led many visitors to approach us.
They were asking about our work and activities, our stance on Israel’s crimes, the complicity of imperialist countries in supporting the Zionist regime, and essentially anything that mattered to them in the context of the new global alignment. We proactively explained the international activities of our campaign, and after discussing the silence of global organizations regarding the tragic and dark events in Gaza, we highlighted the need for a leader or ruler who could put an end to all these injustices, someone who would view all people equally. We introduces a savior figure whose arrival is crucial, as without him, the leverage of global arrogance will continue to grow stronger by the day.
A common and shared choice among most of our visitors was the keffiyeh. The keffiyeh seemed to be the only symbol that loudly proclaimed their opposition to oppression. We had placed this symbol of resistance alongside the Palestinian flag in various parts of the booth, and it became the starting point for most of our interactions. We distributed brochures and encouraged our visitors to scan the QR code to access our social media pages for more information. Alongside explaining the campaign’s objectives, we also worked to resolve the confusion many Londoners had about identifying a savior. Our campaign content was sufficiently documentary-based, and fortunately, most of the people who approached our booth found their views on the savior aligned with ours.
Though our time in London was brief, that day in the heart of London, amidst the gathering of pro-Palestine supporters from around the world, the inner worlds of many of our audience members became more awakened.
