Lyrics
Lonely and tired in search of the lost key,
Looking at the midnight sky to grasp this mystery,
Crying desperately to find an answer:
Why am I of my heart’s condition unaware?
Where did I come from? What have I come for?
Where am I going? Finally wont You show me my home?
Trying to make sense of the meaning of life,
Why did God leave us alone in the middle of nowhere?
Why all the suffering, the sorrow, and strife?
Did God create man for oppression?
An aborted life, a woman distressed by false freedom in this land;
A desperate addicted man, with hangover eyes,
And a knee, the helpless black neck crushed under its pressure.
Can the truth be hidden by lies?
O Merciful Lord, who created man!
When will these sufferings and hardships end?
When will this long, steep road reach the purpose of Your plan?
Will the lost man achieve what You did at first intend?
There came a voice from my heart: O My servant!
I created you for the highest perfection
And I set your path in the best direction;
I guided you to a goal, lofty, most fervent.
But you’ve moved away from it without thinking of the aftermath.
And bewildered, you have lost the straight clear path,
You’re entertained with the pleasures of this material world
And fallen from heaven, in dire confusion hurled.
This is the reason for all your sufferings and misery.
Your soul’s dreaming of the time you were united with Me.
Give your hand to the Saviour to bring you back to My arms with glory
And make the end of the world according to God’s story.
