  2. The Advent of Imam Mahdi -(Peace Be Upon Him): Perspectives on the Future World

Why Is Attention to the World's Future Important?

Human beings are inherently lovers of eternity, and consequently, the most crucial mission of all prophets has been to nurture the future-oriented human. Foresight, hope, and love for the future are the driving forces of humans in life and their source of energy and vitality. The most important factor determining bliss in our lives is our perspective on the future. If we consider the future as inevitable and eternal, we will certainly prepare ourselves for it. This preparation for an eternal future is the movement towards the purpose of creation.
One who defines themselves as an eternal being will make the utmost effort to achieve peace and happiness in that certain future. This effort creates a personal connection for each individual with the future. This connection is equivalent to having a role and being a participant in shaping the future. The upbringing of humans with this insight and understanding, enabling them to play a role in creating the future of the world, has been the unique task of all divine prophets. This is because the greater a person’s power in realizing the promised future of religions, the higher their enjoyment of life today, and the greater their existential value.

Future Events of the World

Future Events of the World

Is the world really heading towards God’s good tidings? What are the signs? This section examines the dizzying pace of global change and the fulfillment of key prerequisites for transferring global sovereignty to the righteous. We delve into the shifting world order and political maps, the declining legitimacy of global arrogance, the collapse of the unipolar system, the transfer of the world’s scientific front from West to East, and the rise of resistance ideology. Were these concepts just predictions until yesterday? Or are they proof that a new era is dawning? Explore the evidence and decide for yourself!  Watch now to get the full analysis.

Islam's Vision for the World's Future

Islam is a religion of moderation, and due to this characteristic, it has drawn the hearts of the world’s eager people, and ultimately, as we witness today, all the pure-hearted people of the world will accept its truth. Islam has outlined a vision of peace and tranquility for humanity’s future. This vision will be realized with the dominance of the true religion in the future of the world because, in the End Times, the number of people in the Front of Truth will increase, while the number of supporters of arrogance will become very small. An example of this global empathy and anti-tyranny sentiment can be observed in the Arbaeen Walk. The gathering of people in the End Times will occur around the axis of truth, leading to the alignment of the two fronts of truth and falsehood against each other. The affiliation of individuals to either the front of truth or falsehood will be determined before the advent of Imam Mahdi (Peace be upon him), and faith that emerges after the clear signs of the advent are revealed will no longer be beneficial.

The Shared Future of the World in Religions

The shared future of religions is the promised future that all prophets and all religions have heralded and prepared their followers to achieve.
The movement towards the future and the interest in having a positive presence and impact in the future is one of humanity’s ancient tendencies, the source of which can be seen in human desire for infinity and their yearning for immortality. Humans are interested in knowing what awaits them in the future and wish to play a role and be a participant in this future. The shared future of religions, as envisioned for humanity, is a future filled with hope, light, and beauty, the attainment of which is equivalent to reaching the source of all goodness and beauty. It is a future that will ultimately free humans from the grip of suffering and save them from confusion and misguidance.

Humanity's Role in Realizing the World's Future

How can the realization of the shared and bright future that all religions have envisioned for humanity be made possible?
When will the world be freed from suffering and achieve light and peace?
How can humans fulfill their share in realizing the future and become influential individuals in the arena of future realization?
The way we answer all these questions is closely linked to the breadth of our vision and our definition of the promised future. If we define the world’s future by the weight of our earthly lifespan, we will only be able to play a role within this small scope, and our lifespan, talents, and inherent abilities will be limited to this short period from birth to death. If we desire to play a fundamental role in realizing the promised future of the world, we must first gain a clear understanding and perception of the future and redefine this familiar concept.

To gain a deeper understanding of the concepts discussed in this section, we recommend watching the videos, reading the articles, and then proceeding to the next part of our site: Palestine: The Gateway to the Advent of Imam Mahdi (Peace Be Upon Him).

24. “And remind them of Allah’s days ˹of favour˺.” Surely in this are signs for whoever is steadfast, grateful.” (Quran, 14:5)

25. Regarding the phrase “and remind them of Allah’s (holy) days,” it undoubtedly refers to specific days. While every day inherently belongs to God, certain days are distinctly attributed to Him due to the prominent manifestation of His decree. These days include significant moments when His supremacy and unity are either displayed or destined to be revealed. Prominent among these are the day of one’s demise, emphasizing the dominion of the Hereafter, and the Day of Resurrection, a day where each soul stands solitary, with all affairs solely under God’s jurisdiction. Other notable days include when divine retribution befell communities like those of Noah, Ad, and Thamud.

31. Then he would say: I am the remnant of Allah on the earth and the vicegerent of God and His Divine Proof upon you. Then no Muslim would greet him except by the words:
32. “Peace be on you, O the remnant of Allah on His earth.”
33. And when the number of his supporters reaches one Iqd, that is 10000 men, he would set out. Then no deity except Allah, the Mighty and Sublime would remain on the earth. Idols, statutes and such other things would be destroyed, and fire would rise up among them; and this would come to pass after a prolonged occultation till the Almighty Allah knows who brings faith during the occultation and who obeys.”
34. (Shaykh as-Sadooq, Kamaaludin Wa Tamaamun Ne’ma: Perfection of Faith and Completion of Divine Favor, Vol. 2, Chapter 34, Hadith 16, trans. Sayyid Athar Husayn S.H. Rizvi (Mumbai: Az-Zahra Publications).)

45. However, those who already believed in him and are certain in their beliefs will profit from their faith. Their status will be elevated with Allah. On the Day of Judgment, Allah will decorate His Paradise for them and He will keep the fires of Hell (away) from them.
46. This is the reward of those who believe in the Wilayat of the Commander of the Believers and his purified progeny.

Gabriel will be the first one, who pays homage to al-Qa’im and then the three hundred and thirteen companions will pay homage. Those (of al-Qa’im’s companions), who are to walk, will arrive in time and those, who are not to walk, will disappear from their beds.
