What Changes Will Happen to Human Values and Lifestyle When the Righteous Are in Authority?
Why should we start talking about the time when the righteous are in authority? In a world where we face a new crisis every day, asking questions about a better future is no longer just an option — it is a vital necessity. At first glance, this question might seem abstract or idealistic. However, if we are honest with ourselves and take a deeper look at our current condition, we will realize something important: Human societies regardless of borders, beliefs, or languages, are facing a major transformation — as a result, words like hope, meaning, and justice need to be redefined on a global scale.
Can our today’s world continue to tolerate the constant crisis and confusion? Every day, we hear about widespread corruption, the collapse of family, mass migration, unrealistic expectations, and a loss of human values. Humanity seems to be struggling to break through dead-ends and traditional solutions cannot solve these problems. So we must keep asking ourselves: “Can we imagine a different kind of life?” Will there be a future in which peace, justice, and spirituality are not relics of the past, but will become real, tangible things of our world? Can we figure out such a future in the world when the righteous are in authority?
The power of imagining and having hope for a better world has always been a driving force of great civilizations and movements. But in today’s world — where hope is fading and crises are spreading — how can we turn the idea of a world governed by the noble rule of the righteous into a common concern? This question matters not only on a philosophical or ideal level, but it is also a social, moral, and rational demand. If we do not clearly understand what kind of disappointing world we are trying to move beyond — and what brighter future we aim to build, how can we find the strength to mobilize people to act, change, and resist falling into social passivity?
By studying history and religious teachings, we realize that no great civilization appeared overnight. Societies that entered a new era first created a clear vision of the future they wanted. That is why reflecting on the world when the righteous are in authority is not just a mental exercise — it is a call to examine global crises, measure our collective ability to change, and nurture our faith so that we can believe it is possible to create a new world. What needs to change inside us so we have the capacity to accept a new world? What is our responsibility to lay the groundwork for the promised future?
This article attempts to offer a clear, thoughtful, and future-oriented picture of a world we can — and must — think about, ask questions about, and move toward.
In the following, we will examine the current crises, the foundations for transformation, and the signs when the righteous are in authority, so we can better prepare ourselves to take part in building that bright future.
Crises and Dead Ends of Today’s World
All around the world today, social, cultural, economic, and psychological crises have taken new and worrying shapes. Public distrust in governing institutions, family breakdown, a growing sense of insecurity, and the increasing wave of migration are just some of the consequences of a crisis that have led the human being into a kind of spiritual confusion. Just look at the city streets filled with heavy traffic, bad news headlines, or the young people always anxious about their future; it is clear that today’s world is stuck in a loop of unresolved problems, and hope for real change seems more distant than ever.
On the economic side, problems like recession, hyperinflation, and social inequality have damaged the foundations of social trust. Even in developed countries, people suffer from loneliness, chronic stress, and they feel like life is meaningless. Identity crisis, the rise of depression, and the spread of new types of addiction are growing concerns that increasingly threaten the mental health of entire societies [1]. More than ever before, this situation shows the need to search for a new and different model—one that is not limited to short-term reforms, but can open the path toward the world that will be governed by the righteous. In such a situation, a deep transformation has become a common demand. These ongoing crises not only affect people’s material well-being but also challenge the meaning and quality of life itself.
Can we really hope to escape the dead ends of today’s world if we do not have a clear picture of the world when the righteous are in authority? The answer to this question marks the path from today’s confusion toward a better future. Now that the crisis is a constant part of our lives, then it is the motivation for and vision of entering that future world which can reignite hope and the possibility of change in tired hearts.
The Noble Rule of the Righteous: The Starting Point of True Transformation
Human history has always been a paradox of ideal life and reality. As a result, whenever human beings face crisis and contradiction, they have shown that the thirst for change and the hope for a better world can shape the destiny of civilizations. Now that our world is trapped in darkness and dead ends, once again, everyone hopes for something to happen: establishing a rule that promises the revival of forgotten values, the return of justice, and the rediscovery of life’s true meaning.
Why is it that people today feel such a deep need for establishing the Noble Rule of the Righteous? It only takes a moment to reflect on the overwhelming pain and frustration being experienced on both personal and societal levels—from economic struggles and widespread mistrust to lost identities and lack of meaning in life. The need for the establishment of the Noble Rule of the Righteous will be felt precisely when no other force seems capable of solving these problems from the root. Despite the advancement of technology, today’s human being is, unconsciously, searching for a new path that can begin the journey toward shaping a different kind of world when the righteous are in authority [2].
Waiting for the establishment of the Noble Rule of the Righteous is not merely a religious hope or a fantasy. It is a deep and natural response to humanity’s shared desire for real salvation and well-being. This hope has grown so strong and widespread that it has become a mental pattern, an ideal vision passed down through generations. People everywhere ask: Could the world be the long-lost dream that past civilizations once imagined when the righteous are in authority? This hope and expectation now serve as a lasting source of inspiration—driving people to search, think, and move forward toward that bright future.
The State of the World When the Righteous Are in Authority: An Emerging Reality and a Gradual Transition
For many, speaking of the time when the righteous are in authority still feels more like a distant dream than a possible reality. But when we take a closer look at the deep and ongoing crises of our time and the unprecedented thirst for true freedom from today’s civilizational dead ends, it becomes clear that building a new future is not only possible, but a vital necessity.
In this article, we aim to offer a clear, thoughtful, and well-grounded picture of that great transformation—an era that begins with the Noble Rule of the Righteous and reshapes the future path of humanity. A quick glance at today’s world reveals how every aspect of life—thought, knowledge, society, nature, and even spirituality—has been worn down by crisis. In this context, the hope for change has turned into one of humanity’s most urgent needs.
The journey ahead involves a shift away from the current civilization and unfolds across four fundamental areas—each of which will profoundly transform the face of the future. First is the growth of reason and scientific progress, which will lead to the flourishing of human intellect and major breakthroughs in science and technology. Second is the transformation of social structures and human relationships. Under a just system—built on global unity, the Rule of the Righteous, public participation, and the rejection of injustice and violence—new forms of inner peace, renewed identity, and lasting hope will emerge for individuals and communities alike. Third comes the revival of nature and the economy. In this stage, we will witness widespread well-being, the blossoming of earth’s resources, and the resolution of environmental challenges.
And finally, the complete realization of religion and practical spirituality will give human life a renewed meaning and strengthen the connection between human beings, God, and the universe. This vision is not a fantasy—it is a journey that leads from today’s confusion and pain toward a tomorrow where justice, reason, spirituality, and an extraordinary sense of openness shape every dimension of life. Not as a dream, but as an emerging reality that lies ahead.
Intellective and Epistemic Transformations: The Dawn of a New Age of Knowledge and Reason
Transformations in knowledge and reasoning form the foundation of all major changes in the world when the righteous are in authority —a world in which thought and science are restored to their true, elevated place. Today, superficial thinking, rigid dogma, and a lack of rationality lie at the root of many personal and societal problems. But when the righteous are in authority, a new era will begin—one in which changes in human thought and understanding lead not just to individual growth, but to collective progress, vibrant communities, and a profound civilizational leap.
In this new era, intellective and epistemic transformations will expand the boundaries of human understanding, analysis, creativity, and ethics to an unprecedented level. Dynamic reason will replace ignorance and blind prejudice, while science and technology will become tools for uplifting humanity and serving all dimensions of human life.
In what follows, we will explore two major developments in this area—the full development of human intellect and a dramatic leap in knowledge, thought, and scientific progress. Both of these point to a bright and hopeful future under the Noble Rule of the Righteous.
The Perfection of Human Intellect: An Unprecedented Leap in Understanding and Thought
One of the most profound and astonishing transformations in the world when the righteous are in authority is the perfection of human intellect. At a time when ignorance, shallow thinking, and limited understanding lie at the heart of many of today’s crises, this new world marks the beginning of a powerful awakening in human potential and collective intellective maturity.
The teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (Peace be upon them) describe this period as one of exceptional growth in human intellect—where understanding expands, awareness deepens, and a revolution takes place in the way people think, analyze, and make decisions. Imam Baqir (Peace be upon him) beautifully captures this in a foundational narration: “When our Qā’im rises, God will place His hand of mercy over the heads of His servants and will perfect their minds and complete their wisdom [3].”
This narration presents the perfection of intellect not simply as gaining more information, but as a deeper process—reaching balance, insight, collective wisdom, and new horizons of understanding and reasoning. In the time of the Noble Rule of the Righteous, the ability to distinguish truth from falsehood, the rapid growth of science and technology, and the maturity of moral and social behavior will all reach unprecedented levels through this intellective perfection. As a result, deep-rooted ignorance and distorted thinking will give way to clarity, maturity, and sound decision-making. A society grounded in dynamic reason and a strong sense of responsibility will emerge, capable of building a world based on truth, justice, and understanding.
Knowledge and Technology: Uniting Ethics and Progress in the Era of the Noble Rule of the Righteous
Despite all the remarkable advances in science and technology today, humanity still faces increasingly complex and troubling challenges. The rapid pace of technological development, intense global competition, resource monopolies, and a culture of overconsumption have turned many of science’s blessings into new risks and threats. Even in societies that have benefited most from modern knowledge, serious concerns remain, such as anxiety, loneliness, the breakdown of families, environmental destruction, and identity crises. As a result, there is now a growing disconnect between humanity’s scientific capacity and the actual quality of human life.
When the righteous are in authority, scientific and technological progress will take on a balanced, purposeful, and uplifting direction. Science will no longer be a tool for domination or endless consumption, but rather a means to address real human needs and fulfill both material and spiritual well-being. This future vision aligns with Islamic teachings where, for example, Imam Baqir (Peace be upon him) tells us that in the time of the Noble Rule of the Righteous, human intellect will reach perfection, and even women will issue judgments from their homes based on the Divine Book [4]. This means that knowledge and reasoning will become widespread and deeply rooted in society. In this new framework, research, technology, and knowledge will serve as tools for the spiritual and social upliftment of humanity—helping people reach higher moral values and a greater sense of dignity.
The horizons of science will expand so widely that humanity, which until now has only discovered two out of twenty-seven “letters of knowledge,” will gain access to the remaining twenty-five [5]. This represents an explosion of understanding and the unlocking of nature’s and existence’s deepest secrets, made possible by the leadership of an infallible, divinely guided ruler. The outcome of this transformation will be the end of knowledge inequality, the emergence of widespread security and well-being, and the rise of a knowledge-based, virtue-centered society that defines progress through its connection to ethics and human dignity. When the righteous are in authority, the world will be one of responsible, ethical, and universally beneficial science.
Social and Structural Transformations: Rebuilding the Fabric of Human Society When the Righteous Are in Authority
Social and structural changes form the backbone of humanity’s journey from today’s confusion and identity crisis to the renewed world that follows the Noble Rule of the Righteous. In that future, outdated and unjust systems will be replaced by a new, humane order. Through these transformations, justice, emotional and psychological security, moral health, public participation, and a shared, flourishing sense of identity will become real and tangible.
Today, people live under the weight of painful problems like discrimination, inequality, identity confusion, weakened social trust, and widespread mistrust. But when the righteous are in authority, we will witness the realization of humanity’s most essential hopes—a world in which social and structural transformations reshape legal systems, human relationships, and public participation around the core values of dignity, security, and collective well-being.
In this new world, justice and the elimination of discrimination will become inviolable principles. The government of the righteous and public participation will gain true meaning. The establishment of a global government and the unity of all humanity around the axis of truth will transform into an achievable, tangible reality. The rejection of oppression and violence across the Earth will become the foundation of universal peace and social harmony, and the transformation of ethics and human relations will deeply influence social interactions. Furthermore, hope and emotional peace will no longer be an abstract ideal but a living truth embedded within the fabric of collective life.
In the continuation of this section, we will explore, in detail, the various dimensions of social and structural transformations, both from the perspective of Islamic narratives and the lived experience of the Noble Rule of the Righteous. These transformations will lay the foundation for the flourishing of a new human civilization and will redefine the meaning of life for both individuals and society.
A World Without Discrimination: The Realization of Justice and Human Dignity When the Righteous Are in Authority
Today, the heavy shadow of discrimination, inequality, and unjust boundaries casts doubt over many lives. Unspoken class privileges, ethnic and gender labels as well as structures that damage human dignity through distance and baseless divisions all make the hope for a just life and a sense of belonging to society increasingly dim. The unanswered protests of the marginalized, the bitterness of inequality in opportunities, and the complex machine of meritocratic systems all fill hearts with distrust and hopelessness. Individual efforts often come to dead ends in the face of ineffective systems and unjust judgments.
However, when the righteous are in authority, the principle of justice will not only be present in laws and structures but will also permeate the very spirit of collective life. Here, no privileges will exist based on color, language, economic status, or family connections. The only criteria for advancement and growth will be merit, ethics, and service to the community. The roots of any infringement on the rights of others will be eliminated, and the system of evaluating human value will be purely human and universal—not based on ethnicity, gender, wealth, or power.
In this space, everyone will experience a profound sense of security and justice. Even the smallest child in a remote village will not lose any unreachable dreams merely due to the circumstances of their birth. Social health, belonging, and equal opportunities will no longer be mere slogans but a tangible reality woven into all layers of relationships and governance systems. Moreover, due to the difference in the meaning that humanity will assign to itself when the righteous are in authority, the concepts we currently associate with injustice and discrimination will lose their relevance and importance.
This transformation has been frequently depicted in the sayings of the Ahl al-Bayt (Peace be upon them). For example, Imam Baqir (Peace be upon him) said:
When the Qa’im from the family of Muhammad (Peace be upon them) rises, he will rule with justice, and in his time, oppression will vanish. The roads will become safe, the earth will bring forth its blessings, and every right will be returned to its rightful owner. No follower of any faith will remain except that they will openly accept Islam, and all will enter the path of peace. [6]
Through this, when the righteous are in authority, the world will not only eliminate discrimination but also establish the key principles of dignity and spiritual well-being as undeniable rights for all. The outcome of this transformation will be a society in which the breath of hope is revived, and every individual receives their fair share of opportunity and respect.
The Rule of the Righteous and Public Participation: The Return of the Leadership to People
The defining features of the era of the Noble Rule of the Righteous are righteous governance and genuine public participation—transformations that reshape power structures and usher in an unprecedented era of religious democracy and virtuous leadership. When the righteous are in authority, the government of the righteous and the active participation of the people will be recognized as the defining features of this new age, where human capacities will flourish, and outdated, oppressive structures will become part of history.
During the era of occultation of the Promised Savior and the dark centuries of tyranny, people have always been the victims of the abuse of power. However, in the promised government, the principle of the Rule of the Righteous will be based on merit, justice, and spirituality. This will allow society to play an active and responsible role in governance because wherever the Government of the Righteous is established, there will be no room for passivity, indifference, or marginalization of people.
In Islamic sources, the principle of the Government of the Righteous and public participation is presented as two wings of the ascension of the promised community. Imam Ali (Peace be upon him) says in a famous sermon:
Indeed, if our Qa’im rises… enmity will be erased from the hearts of the servants of God, justice will become universal, every right will be returned to its rightful owner, and the tradition of your Prophet will be manifest in the community… Thus, every rightful owner will receive their due right. [7]
This narration presents the Rule of the Righteous as the era when monopolies on power end, justice is fully realized, and people reclaim genuine participation in shaping their own destiny. When the righteous are in authority, opportunities and responsibilities will be distributed based on merit and virtue. In such a system, any righteous individual—regardless of their background—can take part in shaping the future through their own will and capabilities. This marks the peak of public participation. In this age, “the Rule of the Righteous and public participation” will no longer be mere slogans, but a lived, lasting reality—an experience humanity has never truly known before.
The Establishment of a Global Government and the Unity of Humanity Around Truth
Among humanity’s greatest ideals, the vision of a unified world under a single, truth-centered global government has always seemed more like a dream than an achievable goal. But when the righteous are in authority, this age-old human aspiration will finally become reality. The complete establishment of global governance and the unity of all people around truth will shift from distant hope to living experience. Despite all modern progress, today’s world remains fragmented—marked by discrimination, division, and exhausting conflicts. The dream of global unity and a government based on justice and truth still feels out of reach. Yet in the horizon of the Noble Rule of the Righteous, that dream is fulfilled.
According to Islamic teachings, the full establishment of a global government and the unity of humanity around truth is one of the defining features of the era of the Promised One. Imam Muhammad Baqir (Peace be upon him) describes it as follows:
When our Qa’im rises, he will judge with justice, and oppression will be eliminated in his time. The roads will be safe, the earth will reveal its blessings, every rightful claim will be restored, and no follower of any religion will remain except that they will embrace Islam, and all people will come together in peace and harmony. [8]
This narration outlines the global government and human unity around truth through key markers:
-The eradication of oppression and insecurity
-The flourishing of the earth’s blessings
-The restoration of every right
-A worldwide peace built on genuine reconciliation
As a result, when the righteous are in authority, the human community will reach a level of cohesion, alignment, and unity never seen before—a civilization rooted entirely in absolute truth and all-encompassing justice. This path is the only viable one to ensure the realization of a unified world and a just global order grounded in truth.
The Eradication of Injustice and Violence: The Dawn of Universal Peace
One of the most pivotal and inspiring transformations in the age of the Noble Rule of the Righteous is the complete eradication of injustice and violence across the earth—a long-awaited promise that finally answers humanity’s deep thirst for justice and security. When the righteous are in authority, the long-held dream of peace and justice becomes a lived reality. Injustice and violence will no longer have a place in human relationships or social structures. Today, the shadow of oppression and violence weighs heavily on human lives. Societies are plagued by inequality, discrimination, war, and terrorism. In such a context, the eradication of all forms of injustice and violence represents a turning point—a source of hope in the new era.
Islamic teachings emphasize that the elimination of injustice and violence is a central aim of the mission of Imam Mahdi (Peace be upon him) and a defining feature of the Noble Rule of the Righteous. Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him and his family) said: “Through him, God will fill the earth with justice and equality, just as it had been filled with oppression and tyranny [9].”
In its deeper sense, the eradication of injustice and violence is not limited to dismantling oppressive systems or ending physical wars. It involves reforming the foundations of human relationships, removing hatred and division, preserving human dignity, and establishing a deep, all-encompassing sense of peace and security. Under the Noble Rule of the Righteous, not only people but also nations, communities—and even animals and nature—will be protected from aggression, harm, and hostility. Thus, when the righteous are in authority, the eradication of injustice and violence will no longer be a distant ideal, but a lived and transformative reality. Peace and tranquility will return to every dimension of life and to all living beings.
The Revival of Spirituality and Social Ethics: The Foundation of Empathy and Security When the Righteous Are in Authority
In today’s world, spirituality and ethics have largely become individualistic and abstract, disconnected from social responsibility and collective values. As a result, we see a weakening of empathy, a drop in civic participation, widespread distrust, and a growing sense of constant worry and anxiety in people’s lives. Toxic competition and excessive individualism have distanced hearts from one another and severely undermined both emotional and social security so much so that many people feel isolated and vulnerable, even when surrounded by others.
But when the righteous are in authority, everything begins to shift. This new era marks the revival of authentic spiritual, ethical, and social values. Spirituality will no longer be a purely private experience; it becomes a marker of collective growth, a foundation for ethical action, and a source of social empathy. Ethics will go beyond slogans and advice to become a living force that shapes everyday human relationships. Honesty, loyalty, mutual support, and responsible participation will replace alienation and despair. A sense of belonging and deep inner security will take root within individuals.
In this age, human relationships will be built on trust and compassion. Conflicts will be resolved through kindness and reason. Security and peace will no longer be external promises enforced only by institutions of power, but they will become internalized experiences, nourished by spirituality and moral excellence. Each person will know that in times of trouble, a caring community stands behind them. Loneliness and abandonment will no longer have a place in society.
This transformation is so far-reaching that Islamic traditions describe a future under the Noble Rule of the Righteous where even animals and other living beings will live in harmony as peace and mercy will encompass the entire world [10]. Social capital, public trust, and voluntary cooperation will flourish. Happiness will no longer be measured by individual success alone, but by healthy coexistence, collective progress, and the shared pursuit of divine satisfaction.
This deep sense of peace and empathy is highlighted in religious texts as one of the great fruits of the age of the advent of Imam Mahdi (Peace be upon him). Imam Ali (Peace be upon him) is quoted as saying: “In the time of the Noble Rule, hearts will be cleansed of resentment and anxiety, and distances will be replaced with friendship and kindness [11].” In such an environment, life will transcend superficiality and self-centeredness, with the essence of ethics and spirituality becoming the foundational principle of human relationships.
Return to the Truth of Existence: The Noble Rule of the Righteous and the Resolution of the Modern Identity Crisis
In today’s world, many people are caught in a deep crisis of identity and meaning, confused by conflicting ideologies and disconnected from the truth of their own being. The authentic human identity has become hidden beneath layers of superficial attachments and appearances, leaving behind a sense of emptiness and inner loss that silently erodes countless lives.
But when the righteous are in authority, this condition is transformed. Human beings rediscover their identity not through external labels or shallow affiliations, but through the recognition of their divine and spiritual essence—an identity rooted in eternal existence, in the legacy of the Ahl al-Bayt (Peace be upon them), and in the innate capacity for growth, perfection, and acquirement of divine attributes. Such human perfection is only attainable by following the complete example of the infallible Imam—the Perfect Human Being.
In this new society, collective identity also finds new meaning. Every individual is grounded in spirituality and moral values, and the community itself becomes a field for the flourishing of talents and the expression of human dignity. Each person, while fully aware of their personal mission, walks alongside others toward the realization of divine goals. A profound balance between individuality and community emerges, made possible through the guidance and spiritual authority of Imam al-Mahdi (Peace be upon him).
This vision is echoed in Islamic narrations. Imam Ali (Peace be upon him) describes this future by saying: “Hearts will be cleansed of resentment and enmity, and affection and compassion will take their place.” In this renewed world, humans not only reach deep self-knowledge, but also awaken a strong sense of belonging, responsibility, and solidarity with the global community of humankind.
Transformations in Nature, Economy, and Environment: A New Chapter of Life and Livelihood When the Righteous Are in Authority
The natural, economic, and environmental transformations mark one of the most remarkable and civilization-building aspects of the world when the righteous are in authority—a world where humanity’s relationship with nature, wealth, and the ecosystem is profoundly reshaped. Today, crises such as environmental destruction, resource scarcity, widespread poverty, inequality, and unstable economies cast a dark shadow over human life. But the post-government world will be the setting for the long-awaited fulfillment of humanity’s hopes in these domains.
In this era, the earth’s blessings will no longer be locked behind barriers of scarcity. The economy will be cleansed of injustice and toxic competition, and the environment will witness a historic restoration, marked by abundance, vitality, and harmony. People will no longer live under the shadow of poverty, livelihood anxiety, or ecological collapse. Instead, fair and healthy access to the earth’s resources, a value-driven economy, and a deep sense of collective responsibility toward the environment will become an inseparable part of public culture.
In the continuation of this section, two fundamental transformations will be examined: the emergence of the blessings of the earth and the flourishing of natural gifts, as well as universal prosperity and well-being. These will serve as clear signs of the environmental and economic transformation of the era of the Noble Rule of the Righteous—transformations that will fundamentally change the future world for both humanity and nature.
The Unveiling of the Earth’s Blessings and the Flourishing of Natural Bounties: The End of Poverty and the Beginning of Abundance
In today’s world—where many regions are plagued by resource shortages, drought, and environmental degradation [12]—the notion of a world overflowing with the earth’s blessings and flourishing natural wealth may seem like a distant dream. Yet, from the perspective of divine promises and Islamic narrations, when the righteous are in authority, the world will be one in which this dream becomes a concrete, widespread reality.
According to authentic narrations, the emergence of the earth’s blessings and the flourishing of natural resources are among the most distinctive signs of the era of the advent of Imam Mahdi (Peace be upon him). Imam Baqir (Peace be upon him) said: “The Mahdi… will draw forth the treasures of the earth, and its wealth will be submitted to him. He will spread justice across every land—flat or mountainous. Goodness will be revealed, and blessings will manifest [13].”
These narrations present the unveiling of the earth’s blessings not merely as increased agricultural output or improved productivity, but as a comprehensive transformation: Natural barriers will be removed, divine favors will flow from the depths of the earth and the skies, and societies will flourish. It will be the end of the age of scarcity and the dawn of unprecedented abundance [14].
The era of the Noble Rule will be one of expansion and prosperity. Divine gifts will emerge from land, sea, and sky in ways unseen before. As a result, the oppressive shadow of poverty and deprivation will be erased from the human condition. The balance with nature, fair access to resources, and universal benefit from the gifts of creation will form the new foundation of human life.
The unveiling of the earth’s blessings and the flourishing of natural bounties will, in turn, lay the groundwork for lasting justice and shared happiness across all societies. This is not merely an economic transformation, but rather it is a redefinition of prosperity as a divine, inclusive, and sustainable reality.
The Birth of a Healing Economy: The Emergence of Welfare and Contentment under the Noble Governance
Today’s global economy is saturated with concerns like inflation, unemployment, relentless competition, and the constant anxiety of meeting basic needs. Feelings of deprivation, rising costs, and systemic inequality have shaken the foundations of lifestyle for many, turning societies into arenas of exhausting individual struggle and unhealthy competition.
However, in the world after the establishment of the Noble Government of the Righteous, the very foundation of economy will be redefined—anchored in justice, human dignity, and the ethical and balanced distribution of wealth. No one will remain burdened by the anxiety of securing life’s essentials, and economic opportunities will be distributed in accordance with each person’s talents, efforts, and just conditions.
The roots of rent-seeking, privilege, inequality, and corruption will be eradicated through collective transparency and solidarity. In this world, access to wealth will be based on merit and genuine need—not power dynamics or unfair relationships. People will experience authentic prosperity, such that poverty, deprivation, and even begging will be wholly eliminated. As Imam Sadiq (Peace be upon him) foretold: “A time will come when people—both Arabs and non-Arabs—will be sought for charity, but no one will be found willing to accept it [15].”
In this economic system, consumption becomes measured and responsible. The insatiable urge for hoarding gives way to inner peace, satisfaction with sufficiency, and motivation for collective growth. Welfare and contentment will expand so thoroughly that a symbolic narration from Imam al-Sadiq (Peace be upon him) will become a living truth:
…Wealth will be gathered in mosques or public squares. A man will call out for anyone who wishes to come and take. But because of the abundance and contentment among people, none will step forward to take anything, and in the end, no one will carry it away. [16]
This narration not only illustrates a time of abundance and economic security, but also points to a fundamental transformation in people’s attitude toward wealth. The desire for endless accumulation will gradually be replaced with a spirit of collective support and purposeful consumption. In such a realm, the economy will no longer be a source of anxiety, rivalry, or inequality. Instead, it will become a conduit for hope, dignity, and authentic well-being for all members of society.
The Complete Realization of Religion and Objective Spirituality: The Final Chapter of Human Evolution When the Righteous Are in Rule
The complete realization of religion and objective spirituality represents the pinnacle of human history and is central to the transformative journey of the Noble Rule of the Righteous. While today, religion and spirituality often seem clouded by conflicts, superficial interpretations, and a disconnect between beliefs and actions, this complete realization promises an age where divine teachings, ethics, and spiritual values are not just empty slogans or social facades. Instead, they will become profound truths that deeply influence both individual lives and the collective existence of humanity.
With this realization, the divide between shallow religiosity and genuine faith will fade away, paving the way for a society where divine principles of reason, justice, compassion, and fairness are evident in our daily lives, decision-making, and relationships. This significant transformation goes beyond merely reforming rituals and laws; it aims to reconstruct the very foundations of ethics and culture. We envision a new state where religion and spirituality serve as the core guiding principles in our everyday lives, social interactions, and the advancement of humanity as a whole.
In the following section, we will explore the most critical aspect of this complete realization— “the perfection of religion and the practical realization of divine teachings.” This examination will illustrate how this ideal can evolve from a mere aspiration into a vibrant and living reality in the world when the righteous are in authority.
The Perfection of Religion and the Practical Realization of Divine Teachings: Faith Embodied in Human Life
In the era of the Noble Rule of the Righteous, one of the greatest civilizational transformations will be the perfection of religion and the practical embodiment of divine teachings—a state in which God’s commandments and values are not confined to belief or ideology, but are deeply woven into the fabric of both individual and collective human lives [17].
In this age, the perfection of religion and the realization of its principles will transcend the realm of aspiration or theory. It will become a visible and lived reality, as the ethics of the Quran, divine justice, human dignity, and spiritual values permeate every dimension of life—from personal behavior to social systems, from governance to education, from economics to interpersonal relationships.
Islamic narrations depict the Age of the Advent and the establishment of the Noble Rule as the zenith of this transformation—a time when religion is completed and divine teachings are universally practiced with willing hearts and clear conviction. As Imam Sadiq (Peace be upon him) states: “(The Mahdi) shall establish the Quran, the Sunnah, and the virtues among the people; he will prevail over all religions through Islam and will bring to fruition what God has decreed [18].”
Based on such narrations, the comprehensive implementation of divine law and morality will characterize every facet of life during this era. From politics and governance to economy and social culture, from the smallest interactions to the highest policy decisions, every domain will reflect divine will and values.
In this transformed world, religiosity will no longer be reduced to mere appearances or ceremonial rituals. Rather, faith will become the very essence of all behavior and choices—a dynamic force shaping every interaction, every institution, and every ambition. The divine presence will be perceptible in the compassion shown between people, in the justice that governs transactions, and in the dignity afforded to every individual. The seal of divine mercy will shine through all human relationships, and the dream of integrating faith and life—long fragmented in modern experience—will be fulfilled in its most profound form. This is not only the fulfillment of religion, but the realization of humanity’s highest spiritual destiny.
At the conclusion of this analytical and evidence-based reflection, it becomes clear that when the righteous are in authority, the world’s potential for good is unlocked, moving it beyond a mere utopian ideal or a religious slogan; that world is, in fact, a profound and comprehensive response to the deepest needs and crises of modern humanity.
What has been explored throughout this study are four fundamental transformations that outline the future trajectory of humanity: the perfection of reason and knowledge, the restructuring of social systems based on justice and participation, the revival of nature and economy through abundance and ethical prosperity, and the full realization of religion and tangible spirituality in both personal and collective life.
This path—from the turbulence of our current global crises to a world of peace and flourishing—requires the active engagement of human thought and faith. It calls for a reexamination of religious and historical experiences, and the cultivation of a holistic and global outlook on transformation.
When the righteous are in authority, the world will be a manifestation of universal justice, public welfare, authentic spirituality, hope, and a renewed sense of identity—a space for ethical and dignified living that envisions the future of humanity not as a repetition of crises, but as an arena full of potential for growth and fulfillment. To look toward this horizon is to awaken to a renewed sense of hope and an immense responsibility—a duty upon each human being to prepare themselves and their societies today for the coming of this great future. Through active social participation, cultural renewal, and unwavering commitment to divine and human values, that future can be transformed from a distant dream into the most beautiful reality of human history.
