This year, we were supposed to have a different Arbaeen, an Arbaeen with the hue of acknowledge alongside other pilgrims.   We brought along our materials: brochures, cards, and books in Arabic. I tried to speak with the organizer of the mawkib (free service station) we had chosen for accommodations to place the brochures (which introduce the Imam Mahdi (AJ) under the prayer turbah of each pilgrim, since prayer without knowing your Imam is worthless! Without knowing who you are and why you are praying, you haven’t reached the essence and root of prayer. I had to tell those in prayer that if they hadn’t learned how to love their true Beloved in prayer, it wouldn’t lead them to true growth and tranquility. I had to say that to reach that true Beloved, we need a living and present guide, someone like Hussain… I had to say that our superficial loves have blinded and prevented us from reaching the Hussain of our time and learning how to love correctly.   The organizer of that mawkib agreed, and we decided to place the brochures under the prayer turbah of people. During lunch, while everyone was waiting for food, I also tried not to forget the mission I had undertaken. I tried to explain the sufferings of living without an Imam to them. I tried to say that we ourselves are to blame for not having our Imam among us and that we must first come to know the Imam ourselves, and then share that understanding with thewhole world-introducing the Savior who will freehumanity from all darkness.   Since we had brochures and books in Arabic, I decidedto give some to our friends in the Popular Mobilization Forces. I needed to emphasize the important duty we have and remind them that our time to introduce the Savior of the world to humanity is fleeting. I suggested that instead of using their cell phones during breaks, they take the opportunity to read The Glad Tidings of Arbaeen. This way, they could gain a deeper understanding of Arbaeen and its connection to the advent of Imam Mahdi (AJ), while also becoming ambassadors for introducing the Imam of the Time- the true guide of humanity- toward genuine love and peace.
