We were stationed in an amazing mawkib- the free service station during the Arbaeen Walk- called Bassirat al-Hussain. This Iraqi mawkib, led by members of the Popular Mobilization Forces, truly inspired me. Inside, there was an exhibition dedicated to the principles of Islamic resistance. All the attendants of the mawkib were Iraqi, and I could hardly communicate with them except through gestures. There was only one person among them who spoke Farsi. Last night, I told him about our goal and introduced him the “Who Is Imam Mahdi” campaign. You could see the joy on his face. Since we didn’t have anyone fluent in Arabic, we asked him to connect with the young people in other mawakib to help us present a summary of the campaign’s content. He eagerly accepted our request. Our story unintentionally led to the point where the Iraqis became ambassadors for spreading the campaign in Iraq, and we didn’t playeven the smallest role in it. Last night, I thought about the beauty of empathy. It’s truly remarkable to feel such a deep connection with someone you’ve never met, as if you’ve shared years of life together. This feeling is one of the purest in the world. I believe that if we all make an effort, the day will soon come when everyone in the world embraces empathy.
