In Surah Isra, verse 81, it is said, “Say that, ‘Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Indeed, falsehood will certainly vanish.’” Falsehood is short-lived. God has willed to destroy falsehood. Well, we do not see it now. That is, today, there is falsehood, disbelief, corruption, and oppression everywhere in the world. When will the promise in this verse be fulfilled? Imam Baqir (PBUH) also commented on the same verse: “When the Qaim rises, the government of falsehood will be taken down.” God is announcing a future when there is no falsehood, there are no arrogant people, oppressors, disbelievers; good and righteous peoplewill rule the earth. “Say, ‘Everyone is waiting.'” The Quran says to tell everyone that we are all waiting to see what will happen. “…Indeed, you shall know who the companions of the Straight (Middle) Path are and those who are guided” (20:135). One of the characteristics of the path that the world’s Promised Saviour introduces is that his path is one in which there is no excess or neglect. It is a middle path. The Middle Path is the path that the Quran has introduced as a characteristic of the Prophet’s religion. The Holy Quran repeatedly introduces the religion of the Prophet as the religion of the Moderate Ummah.
We enjoy both the world and the hereafter. Belief in the hereafter does not prevent us from using this world; our worldliness does not deprive us of the hereafter. Balance is established in the moderate Ummah. Well, this Moderate Ummah does not rule the earth now. Here again, Imam Kazim (PBUH) says: “The Middle Path is the path of Mahdi who will come and make moderation rule the world. The one who is guided is the one who will be obedient to Mahdi. He will be obedient to the Imam of the Time (PBUH).
