In Islam, the value of a person is closely tied to their efforts in shaping the future. How individuals contribute to building the future impacts their worth in this life, their ability to enjoy the present moment, and their eternal value in the Hereafter. The more energy and determination someone devotes to future-building, the more they enjoy the present moment, and they feel more joyful, hopeful, and blissful. By actively participating in constructing the future, people will have a share in the future, whether in worldly matters or in the eternal realm. Allah’s interaction with each person, the rewards He gives to them in this life and the Hereafter, all depend on their involvement in shaping the future and their role in it. As eternal beings, humans find eternal joy through contributing to the future. Those who fail to leave a meaningful legacy for the future miss out on its rewards. Additionally, while we live in the present, our current actions have a broader impact beyond our immediate circumstances. The teachings of the prophets, particularly those centered on future-show us that all our decisions, relationships, behaviors, and thoughts contribute to shaping the future of humanity, even if they might seem insignificant. Therefore, it is crucial to make the most of our time and make the best decisions.
